I was thinking about kite-flying this morning with Spring around the corner and began remembering this book I read last year or so. It is a powerful book in many ways--a story about families in Afghanistan and a tradition of flying kites. It was so interesting! Khaled Hosseini paints a beautiful picture of the kites and the scenery there. There is an interesting article from the NY Times about it too. Check it all out!
