Jesus Ministry

Finally!  I have completed a first in a series of paintings I plan to do of Jesus.  Seemed fitting to begin this during the Season of Lent, but most of all, I crave my Savior during this time as I take in the enormity of what He did for me...But stay tuned as I turn this into a ministry of some sort--I am still trying to get clear on what He wants me to do, how to do it, etc. but I trust you'll be patient as I will be.  I know one thing--it's going to be amazing!  This one is not for sale at the moment, but I am working on new ones that will be posted on my painting blog--so check that and become a follower to see them emerge!

Of What Am I Speaking?

  • It costs nothing, but creates much.
  • It enriches those who receive it, without impoverishing those who give it.
  • It happens in a flash and the memory of it sometimes lasts forever.
  • None are so rich they can get along without it and none so poor but are richer for its benefits.
  • It creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in a business and is the countersign of friends.
  • It is rest to the weary, daylight to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and Nature's antidote for trouble.
  • Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed or stolen, for it is something that is no earthly good to anybody till it is given away.
  • And if in the stress of our days, some are tired and weary to give one, may we ask you to leave one of yours?
  • For nobody needs one so much as those who have none left to give!

Whoever can guess what I am referring to receives a surprise today!
A photo of the answer will be posted as soon as someone answers!
Most of this text was take from an excerpt from a book by Dale Carnegie, How to Win Friends and Influence People, written in 1936.  I changed a couple of things and added to it.
Have a great day!

Kids Summer Art Camps!

KIDS Art Camps are here! Coming in June, there will be 2 different sessions for 2 different age groups.
June 2, 3, 4 is Camp I
for kids 5 to 8 years old. $145

June 23, 24, 25 is Camp II
for kids 9 to 15 years old. $175

A great deal of personal attention is given to each budding artist, so class sizes are limited. All supplies and materials are included in the enrollment fee, and we provide healthy snacks to keep our campers focused.
We will paint, make a collage project and paint a t-shirt during the 3 days!
These three-day Art Camp sessions are available to a limited number of children to keep our classes small--each child is enrolled on a first-come-first-serve basis.  Each camp is taught by Carole Foret!
Camp times each day are 10am - Noon

Read comments by those who have worked with Carole & Claire:

Carole and Claire came to Rosemary Beach to teach a few paint techniques to women, which they did. But they also spread broad brush strokes of joy, confidence, and effervescence. The beauty they brought to Girls' Getaway Weekend, on their canvases and in their smiles, was an integral part of the event. Their students left class glowing, happy with new skills and a masterpiece!

"I've attended Carole and Claire's workshops and absolutely enjoyed them immensely.  The ingredients that you can depend on in this "artistic" recipe are: relationship building, accomplishment, knowledge and most of all a large amount of FUN. Go, you will have the best time EVER!"          ---Marcia Whitaker, Anniston, AL

It was such a joy to have you and your sister as our guests. Your artwork and sweet personalities were an inspiration to all! Thanks again...We hope to see you both again.
---Bev Sanders, Carmel, CA

Participating in the artist workshop was the best time I had all weekend.  It gave me a chance to step outside of myself, in a fun and creative way. I met new friends that I look forward to seeing every year.   And I love it when my friends in Atlanta visit my home and say "Did YOU paint that?" Then they want to hear about the whole trip and how then can attend one.....

Favorite Thing!

This past week I was out running an errand that included one to Railroad Bazaar .  There I saw Mike Cole  who used to teach my daughter guitar--Mike is an absolutely incredible guitar player!  He mentioned humbly that his CD was done and released.  I was so excited and bought one right then and there.  It is fantastic!  I am so proud of Mike, not only about the CD, but more for his love for God and the journey he has been on in his life.  He is a true inspiration!  The CD includes some originals as well as some old gospel and patriotic favorites with Mike's touch to them.  Check it out and buy his CD here!
