My band Sister Grace is holding a Benefit Concert for our dear friend LeAnna Bennett who has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. A beautiful, kind, loving mother of 2 has needs beyond her means right now, and we want to help her by praising God through this storm. LeAnna's spirit is amazing and is wrapped in love and comfort from the only One who can grant such peace.
She will plan to share in that the evening of the concert. We welcome 2 other praise bands from our church, Mike Cole's Band and 5 For 3. It will be a night of sharing and celebrating! There will be light desserts to enjoy too! Please make your plans to attend!

Captivating Book Study

Calling all ladies!  If you didn't see it before, I am beginning the book study on the book Captivating by John and Stasi Eldredge Wednesday night at 6pm in the lounge area of my studio.  Just meet there with your book that can be purchased at Pablo's On Market just 3 doors down from my studio.  We met last week for the first time, but didn't really start since I didn't know if ladies had gotten their books.  We will be discussing the first 3 chapters.  Hope to see you there!!

I Want Auburn Football Tickets!

If anyone you know or if you have any Auburn football tickets for the LSU, Tennessee or Georgia games, let me know if you would like to sell them to me.  Please help me find some--I would greatly appreciate that!  Also, if you have a place for us to stay, that would be most awesome too.  If not, we'll just take game tickets.  War Eagle!

College Inn Dedication--You're invited!

Join us in the dedication of the College Inn this Saturday September 13th 2008 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, in its new location on East Street and Hobbs. Live Music Featuring ‘Elvis’, Offering Quiznos, Blue Bell Ice Cream, RC Cola & Moon Pies. The Public is invited!

The recently relocated & renovated 1930's, Prairie Style Service Station and Café will serve the city in promoting Athens. The Service Station will be used as a museum with period memorabilia and will be staffed by volunteers dressed for the times. The Café Building was completed this summer and is now occupied by Keep Athens-Limestone Beautiful (KALB).

The College Inn, previously located on Pryor and Clinton Sts, was a lively stop and a favorite hangout for servicemen returning from World War II and for those attending nearby Athens College.
