A Lovely Evening Commemorating 35 Years of my Art Career

The evening was a gathering of those celebrating a long, fabulous career in fine art. In some ways, it seems impossible to believe when I think of all my wonderful clientele who have trusted me and my work, my teaching, and the foundation on which this career was built. What the Great Creator instilled in me could not be stopped, and when it has been allowed to flow, it's truly been a sweet, beautiful time! I'm grateful to these sweet friends photographed with me here who have been a part of encouraging this journey. Get by to Flourish Fine Art in Five Points, Huntsville, to see my work. You'll see still lifes, landscapes and a celebration of things/places I love and that have been a vital part of my inspiration. Thank YOU for following and staying with me.  There is still lots to come!

"Bar Cart" - someone recently said about this painting, "this is a richly textured, expressive still life painting that captures the warmth and vibrancy of a bar /cocktail setting. The composition features an assortment of glasses in a coupe style stacked and ready to hear a clink to start a celebration. This painting reflects and refracts the ambient light in lively prismatic strokes!"

I loved that! The challenge to accomplishing this piece was all the iridescent reflections in these coupe glasses of some of my favorite libations under beautiful lighting. This piece also features a lovely wine stopper given to me by dear friends.

Honoring my Alma Mater--the most celebrated mascot in history--AUBIE!!! Here, he does his epic homage to Michael Jackson. Que, Billie Jean when on that infamous night decades ago, we witnessed, glued to our TVs, Michael Jackson moonwalk for the first time. Chills.
